Time flies.....

Electricon A/S was formed by Kim Bertelsen on 1 July 2007. For the first couple of months Kim ran the company on his own, but it was soon necessary to employ the first engineers. Since then the company has grown, and today it has 11 employees.

From the beginning, the company has been based in the Innovatorium building in Herning, where the office has been expanded in line with the increase in employees. An office was set up in Novi Park in Aalborg East in connection with the appointment of electrical engineer Flemming Dahl.

An affiliated company – Testinglab Denmark ApS – was set up on 1 June 2008. This company is co-owned with Highvoltage.dk ApS, which is owned and run by Søren Find Madsen. Søren is also a strong partner to Electricon A/S in our day-to-day activities.

In autumn 2009, Electricon’s Kim Bertelsen was named growth entrepreneur of the year by Herning & Ikast-Brande trade council. With the title came a diploma and a bronze sculpture by the local artist Jørgen Petersen.
