Electricon’s core expertise lies within the protection of supply and process plants against damage caused by lightning strikes in or close to the plants. Our efforts are often aimed at the hubs of the supply system or process plant which will affect major parts of an installation in the event of damage.

Our customised solutions are all designed to achieve the highest class of protection and the longest life for the protective components.

We have two fundamental philosophies for protecting supply systems:

• The life of our protective system must be longer than that of the plant we wish to protect.

• Our protective system may in no way leave the production or supply system unprotected.

We use the strongest and most reliable surge protection devices on the market and we can therefore guarantee that the components will last for a minimum of ten years irrespective of the number of lightning strikes experienced. Any defective surge protective devices will be replaced by new components. We cannot, however, assume responsibility for any consequential damage.

If you enter into a protection contract with Electricon, we carry out regular inspections on all important parts of the plant to ensure that they are sufficiently protected at all times.
