Lightning tests and verification
All lightning and overvoltage protection systems and solutions should be tested before use.
Together with our affiliated company Testinglab Denmark ApS, we have established a mobile impulse current laboratory where we are now able to apply an artificial lightning current to components and plants in accordance with IEC 62305-1 and IEC61400-24.
In the controlled environment of the laboratory, we can thus produce the same power as natural lightning.
Our impulse current generator has the following specifications.
- Peak current: 250 kA
- Wave shape: 10/350µs
- Specific energy: 15 MJ/ohm
- Charge: 750 C
